Lucky 7 is an unlucky loser, becoming the first new fall broadcast series to be canceled.
ABC pulled the plug today on the first-year drama, which follows seven Queens, N.Y., gas station employees who hit it big in the lottery. Lucky is based on a British series, The Syndicate.
After drawing 4.4 million viewers for its premiere, Lucky this week dropped to 2.6 million, including a very low number of young adults, for its second episode, trailing CBS' Person of Interest and NBC's Chicago Fire by large margins.
Repeats of Scandal, which drew a series-high 10.5 million viewers with its third-season premiere Thursday, will fill Lucky's time slot starting Tuesday (10 p.m. ET/PT).
