LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - An officer-involved shooting in Little Rock has sent one man to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
According to Sgt. Cassandra Davis with the Little Rock Police Department, officers responded to a loitering call around 9:20 p.m. Sunday night. When the police arrived, two suspects tried to run off, so officer followed.
Davis said at the corner of 15th Street and Oak Street, one of the suspects, identified as Zachary Loring, pointed a 9 mm handgun at the officers, who returned fire. One officer fired and hit him in the right hand. He's been taken to the hospital, and police did recover the weapon.
The officer is now on administrative leave while they investigate this shooting.
