LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- That daily chore list never seems to end and doing the laundry is probably the least exciting task on the list. But what if the room you were working it made it easier to do the job? Chris Olsen shows how you can create an "awesome" laundry room in Today's Home.
I don't know about you, but I hate to do laundry. Really it's not so much washing the clothes as it is the folding and putting away. But if I had a laundry room like this one, this is the ultimate laundry room, if I had this I would so much more motivated to get my laundry done more than once a week.
I mean look what this room has. First of all it has great counter tops with bright colorful tiles. So it already puts you in a good mood with a smile on your face. And besides the washer and dryer it even has things like this. This is a custom iron clothes hanger so now you have no excuse to not hang your clothes on your hangers and you have space for it. Yet there is more. There is a TV!
Think about it, you are folding clothes why not watch TV and you don't have to watch your favorite show. What I really love about this laundry room is look at this toilet. Have you ever seen a laundry room with a toilet? I have never seen this but it makes complete and utter sense.
Think about it, you work out in the yard, you are dirty. Most laundry rooms are right near the garage. So now you walk right in here and you can still be dirty and you are not tracking that dirt all over your house.
But there is still more. You need a laundry chute? Boom, hidden right here in the closet. Then this drawer opens up and you can go ahead and organize your hangers. Even the sayings on the wall, here one says "Just Purse your lips and get it done" while the other one says "Oh no, not laundry again!"
So it kinda also makes you smile. So basically the chore of laundry is now fun. Design your own laundry room that not only looks good but is functional.
