The north pole is known for cold, polar bears and Santa Claus, but did you know there are actually two north poles? A geographical and magnetic pole. The two poles can be up to 1,000 miles apart!

The average February temp on the Arctic ice shelf is -32 degrees below zero. The polar desert only receives 10 inches or less of precipitation a year. There are only 2 seasons. 6 months of summer, where the average July temperature soars to 32 degrees, and 6 months of winter. The sun doesn't rise in Winter and never sets in Summer.
