A cold front has pushed through Arkansas and dropped the temperatures dramatically. Throughout the day on Thursday, temperatures will be falling into low 30s.
Ice and winter storm warnings are posted for most of Arkansas Thursday afternoon to Friday evening.
Rain is very likely statewide starting Thursday until sub-freezing air arrives by nightfall. The rain will fall and freeze on contact, making ICE. Sleet is also something we're forecasting, mainly in the northwest but also in central parts of the state on Friday.
Friday holds more rain for southern parts of the state, freezing rain in central Arkansas (which means ice), and some precipitation changes to full blown snow in northwest Arkansas.
Weekend temperatures look to remain below freezing which means little to no defrosting. Also another round of winter weather is in the forecast for Saturday evening.
Thursday: 90% Rain, temps falling into the 30's by late afternoon. Breezy, N-15
