WELLINGTON, New Zealand (CNN) -- A giant sculpture of the duplicitous creature Gollum in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy greets visitors at Wellington Airport in New Zealand.
TVNZ reports the sculpture, at 40-feet long and about 10-feet-high, was unveiled this morning at the airport. It's suspended over the food court.
It's made to look as if Gollum is submerged in water, reaching out to catch a fish, his favorite meal.
The huge likeness was designed by the Weta Workshop and installed ahead of next month's premier of the new film "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey."
Gollum has a prominent role in this latest installement, as he did in the first three.
