UNDATED (CNN) -- Sharon Osbourne says she had a double mastectomy even though she didn't have breast cancer.
And "The Talk" show host tells "Hello" magazine the move was a no-brainer.
The 60-year-old TV personality says she decided to have the preventative procedure after learning she carries a gene that puts her at higher risk for developing breast cancer.
Osbourne, who is married to rocker Ozzy Osbourne, battled colon cancer 10 years ago.
She tells the magazine she wanted to be able to live her life without fear and she says she wants to be around a long time for her new granddaughter, Pearl.
