LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Monday morning, on the campus of UALR, students and the public attended a ceremony where Veterans shared their stories of service and sacrifice.

Members of the military said they are just as grateful to serve in the military as Americans are grateful to them.

"What made me join was definitely the discipline and values that the military was able to instill in me and taught me," said Raymond Brandon. "I would encourage anyone to do it. It would give some much needed structure to your life, and it would change you for the better as a person. I don't regret it. It was the greatest decision I made with my life."

Monday's ceremony concluded with a moment of silence in memory of the fallen and the playing of Taps.
