UNDATED (CNN) -- After a tumultuous love-hate relationship, singer Chris Brown is breaking up with his Twitter account.
Brown deleted the account after an obscenity-laden exchange on Sunday with comedian and writer Jenny Johnson.
He started it by complaining about looking old at age 23. She took the bait and the insults that followed can't be repeated on TV but included a slam on his infamous 2009 assault on Rihanna.
Before shutting down his Twitter account, Brown told his fans the whole thing proved "how immature society is."
Brown and Rihanna were spotted together in Berlin over Thanksgiving.
