LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A spokeswoman for the city of Little Rock says water in a city ditch is running red from dye as a hospital seeks to locate a water leak and is not harmful.

Meg Matthews said Friday afternoon that the water in Plateau Ditch is red because of a dye added by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences to its hot water circulation system.

The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality says the dye is not a safety threat or health hazard.
