LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Police say Jimmy Griffis, 22, picked up a stranger and gave him a lift to a store on Asher Ave., where the man then shot him late Saturday night.

According to the police report, the victim was driving down 25th Street when the suspect waved him down and asked for a ride to the Site convenience store. When they arrived, the suspect got out of the vehicle, pulled a gun on Griffis, and demanded money.

The reports says the two got into an argument that ended with Griffis getting shot in his chest and arm. The injuries were not life-threatening.

Video surveillance shows the suspect running off after the shooting. A witness helped get the victim to the hospital.

Police are still looking for the suspect, who faces charges of aggravated robbery and first-degree battery if he is apprehended.
