CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - A Conway officer is getting medical treatment after he was hit by another vehicle.

According to LaTresha Woodruff with the Conway Police Department, the officer was hit while he was working a car accident somewhere along Dave Ward Drive when he was struck by another vehicle.

"This is one of our own," says Woodruff. "Any accident is very serious and we take it as such but when it's a little personal, gathering all the information and figuring out exactly what happened kinda comes secondary so we had some help from Arkansas State Police as well as the fire department."

Woodruff said the officer has been airlifted to hospital in Little Rock.
