Police say McGary was in his patrol car with his emergency lights on to block a street because of the other accident when another vehicle crashed into the patrol car. The driver of the vehicle was arrested on various traffic charges.
The Log Cabin Democrat reports that McGary's funeral is set for Wednesday.
