FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) -- Police said a student accidentally shot himself on the University of Arkansas campus.
KFSM reported that the accidental shooting happened at the KUAF radio station. The student kept the revolver in his backpack, and it discharged into his hand when he took it to show it to another student.
"I thought something fell over or something like that. It was just extremely loud. That's what I heard, so I went upstairs to find out what was going on, and of course, he was sitting on the floor yelling. It sounded pretty bad," said KUAF Employee Doyle Garner.
The student had to be taken to the hospital for minor injuries. His name has not been released, and police are not saying whether or not he'll face charges for bringing a gun on campus.
