UNDATED (CNN) -- Federal agents shut down a cross-border drug smuggling tunnel in Nogales, Arizona Wednesday and seized more than 1,200 pounds of marijuana.
Officers were conducting surveillance in the area when they spotted suspicious activity.
They found a van filled with bundles of marijuana and took two men into custody.
Even more bundles were discovered in the tunnel.
Officials say the crude, hand-dug tunnel is about 68 feet long and nearly two feet wide.
