NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- US Senator John Boozman toured the Little Rock Air Force Base Tuesday.

He's a firm believer that the future of the base is bright despite the pentagon announcing it could cut funding in some areas.

"The reality is we're in a situation where because of the debt, because of the deficit, because of the nature of the world threat now as opposed to the old Soviet-style threat, the military is going to be changing and their reinventing themselves," explained Boozman.

The reductions could come to its C-1-30 Cargo fleet and affect some active duty.
