LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A drainage pipe beneath the pavement of Two Rivers Bridge collapsed recently, forcing the Little Rock Public Works Department to scramble to find a fix for the damage.

According to Mike Hood with the department, barricades around the collapsed drainage pipe were put up on Jan. 14, and bids open Tuesday for the construction portion of the repair.

Hood said the repair will be a priority, and the department hopes to put the winning bid before the Board of Directors at their meeting March 5. He said construction will hopefully begin 10 days later, if the board approves.

Little Rock Public Works would like to see everything finished within 90 days.
