UNDATED (CNN) -- Comedy, action and horror hit the box office this Friday. A revamped classic tale, an action packed thriller, a 21st birthday bash and the last exorcism.

We all know the classic story of Jack and the Beanstalk, but you've probably never seen it like this. "Jack the Giant Slayer" takes an action packed twist on the classic tale with a war between good and evil. Jack fights to slay the "giant" while trying to win the love of a princess. "Jack the Giant Slayer" is rated PG-13.

The writers of The Hangover bring a new comedy to theaters. "21 and Over" follows a college student and his two best friends on the night of his 21st birthday. Comedic adventure and chaos are sure to be highlights of the escapades the night before the birthday boy's med school exam. "21 and Over" is rated R.

Ed Harris plays the captain of a Soviet submarine in the movie, "Phantom." If he's going to save the world, he must lead the sub and its crew on a dark, mysterious mission. Phantom is rated R.

Evil strikes again in the second installment of "The Last Exorcism." Nell, played by Ashley Bell, faces terror and possession once again. The Last Exorcism Part II" is rated PG-13.
