RANTOUL, Illinois (KTHV) -- A bus carrying a student choir from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff crashed in Illinois.
It happened Saturday afternoon along Interstate 57 just north of Rantoul.
Three students and their choir director were taken to the hospital, but have since been released.
Police say the bus was on its way to Chicago from Mississippi when the driver fell asleep. He woke up as the bus went into the median.
53 people were on board.
The driver faces charges of improper lane usage and driving while fatigued.
The students are on a nine-day spring concert tour to Chicago, Milwaukee and Detroit.
