LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - On January 7, officers responded to a hit-and-run accident in Hillcrest. Four days later, a man was arrested for the crime. Now the charges have been dropped, and another man has turned himself in.
In mid-January, THV 11 reported that Steven Kissinger was arrested for the hit-and-run at Kavanaugh Blvd. and Beechwood St. Little Rock police said the case against him has been "Nolle Prosequi," which means, "we shall no longer prosecute."
On Monday, March 18 at 10 a.m., 42-year-old Claude Smith turned himself in and was charged with felony hit-and-run, careless and prohibited driving, failure-to-yield in a pedestrian crosswalk, driving on a suspended driver's license, having expired vehicle registration, and having no insurance.
