LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A Little Rock police officer was involved in a car accident early Tuesday morning. According to an incident report, it happened around 3 a.m. at the intersection of 12th and Cedar.
According to the officer involved, he was driving through the intersection under a yellow light when another vehicle entered the intersection, causing the officer to hit it and send the officer's car into a chainlink fence.
The other driver involved stated that he was waiting for his light to turn green, and once it did he proceeded through the intersection while the officer ran a red light.
The driver nor the officer were injured in the accident, however a passenger in the other driver's vehicle complained of head pain but refused treatment at the scene.
The officer was taken to an area hospital for a procedural post-accident drug test. Police are still investigating the case.
