SPRINGDALE, Ark. (AP) - A state prison official says a Northwest Arkansas Work Release Center inmate who walked away from his job in Springdale is back in custody.
Department of Correction spokeswoman Shea Wilson says police in Springdale found 23-year-old Alejandro Pacheco Wednesday walking in a ditch near the worksite from where he disappeared.
Wilson says Pacheco apparently left the George's Processing plant where he was working about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The department's website says Pacheco was serving a 15 year sentence for a theft conviction and also has been convicted third-degree domestic battery.
