LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Little Rock School Board has voted against removing the principal from a local high school.
Christyl Rowland, a 9th grade teacher, tells THV 11 that the vote came in late last night against the measure. McClellan High School principal Clausey Myton will stay at the school.
Before the vote, everal teachers were protesting early Thursday night outside the Little Rock School District headquarters upset over the thought of losing Myton.
Rowland said the district hadn't told them anything, so the teachers went to the school board looking for answers.
"What are they going do to? Our kids have to have stability, and yanking him out in the middle of the school year is not stability, and we don't know what we're going to do," explained Rowland.
Rowland said Myton made the announcement to them Wednesday, but said he couldn't go into detail.
