BOSTON, Mass. (WCVB) - A new sandwich shop in Boston has an interesting past. It used to be a bathroom!
That's right, the Earl of Sandwich chain opened up shop Monday on the Bostom Common in a structure that used to be a restroom. The 660-square foot building was built in the 1920s as a bathroom, but has sat unused for several decades.
The sandwich company paid to renovate the building and has agreed to give the city $50,000 a year for 15 years to rent the space.
