LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Around 30 patients and one family member have tested positive for the flu at UAMS.
The hospital confirmed that all of them, aside from the one family member, were Multiple Myoloma patients, and due to the nature of their illness, they all have suppressed immune systems. All of the patients have been responding well to Tamiflu since the outbreak.
The hospital is asking Multiple Myoloma patients and their families to wear masks.
