Help feed Arkansas veterans for the holidays with 'Salute the Troops'
Snell Prosthetics and Orthotics is giving thanks by giving back to our Troops with the help of THV11.
The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness.
It is the nation's largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.
It is in the spirit of mutual helpfulness that the American Legion Department of Arkansas along with American Legion Post 71 in Cabot and Post 74 in North Little Rock are volunteering to help collect and distribute food to needy veterans throughout central Arkansas.
These two posts along with the other 146 posts throughout Arkansas stand ready to provide support to veterans need in our communities.

Snell Prosthetics and Orthotics has witnessed amazing progress in the field since Pop Snell originally fit the company's first patients with wood and rawhide prosthetic limbs in 1911. In fact, many of Snell's first patients were World War I veterans.
There have been many changes with improvements and developments in materials, durability, and technology over the decades, but one thing has stayed the same. Snell continues to give back and serve the Military Veterans that serve our country.
There is a THV11 Helping Home event on Friday, Nov. 17 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Kroger in Jacksonville. Craig O'Neill and the team will be there. Come by and drop off any of the items listed above.
