A look inside Little Rock's new Movie Tavern

A full service dine-in movie theater is opening in the Gateway Town Center on Jan. 23.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) — A new dine-in movie theater is set to open tomorrow, Jan. 23 in the Gateway Town Center, near the Outlets of Little Rock.

The theater was originally slated for an end-of-the-year 2017 opening, but was pushed back. Movie Tavern offers service during movie showings. The only reason you'll need to leave your seat is to visit the restroom or take a phone call.

But how do servers take orders without distracting the audience?

"It's an art form, unobtrusive service," a spokesperson for the theater said. "During the training process, we really coach servers on how to be out of the way, so to speak. They're kneeling. They're being very quiet in their communication."

Movie Tavern will serve beer, wine and even cocktails like margaritas at the location. This is a compliment to a robust food menu that features restaurant food, as well the popcorn, candy and hot dogs you expect.
