River Mountain Park is 2.9 miles of a natural, well-maintained trail that runs along a cool creek

Tucked away in the middle of Little Rock under a sea of trees is the River Mountain Park Trail.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark — Tucked away in the middle of Little Rock under a sea of trees is the River Mountain Park Trail. There are two access points for the trail.

Our Discover Arkansas began their adventure at the access point near Two River Park. Parking for this access point is located on the left of River Mountain Road, just before you arrive at Two Rivers.  The other option is parking at Connor Park.

River Mountain Park is 2.9 miles of a natural, well-maintained trail that runs along a cool creek. Enjoy several spot to wade in the water and search for crawdads.

The trails can be challenging at times, so wear proper shoes. The trail is nice even during hot Arkansas summer days. The low valley and large trees keep the trail nice and shady.

While hiking River Mountain Park trail, you'll most likely forget that you are just minutes from I-430.

The trail is a nice, quiet escape. Enjoy the sounds of the creek and wildlife as you take in the beautiful views of the creek and large rocks.

If you need a little break, benches are located throughout the trail.  Dogs are welcome, as long as, they're on a lease.
