HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) - Using the slogan "Bully No More," the Miss Victorious Pageant aims to educate parents and children about the dangers of bullying and end bullying everywhere.
"This is not a beauty pageant...They have the beauty already; we're not looking for that," said Director and Founder Wilda Hughley. "We're looking for a young lady to empower, to have the voice in their community, in their school."
With the title, girls are also given the opportunity to participate in community service.
"We've went to the Jackson house and got to make meals for people," said Victoria, one of the current title holders. "I feel like everything we've done has changed my life. Because it's [shown me] just the little things you do can really help someone."
The third annual pageant will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on March 10, 2018 at Hot Springs Middle School. Registration is open for girls ages 10 to 18.
