LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) — The Little Rock Zoo is bolstering its cachet as a spring break destination by hosting special events throughout the week.
Susan Altrui and Hannah Baker brought in Sadie the red-tailed hawk to give us a taste of what is scheduled.
Red-tailed hawks are the largest species of hawk in Arkansas. Although they are large, Sadie only weighs about three pounds.
Each day focuses on a different area of the zoo.
- Tuesday: Ag Day!
- Wednesday: Gibbons, anteaters and wolves!
- Thursday: Bears!
- Friday: Small carnivores!
- Saturday: Reptiles and amphibians!
- Sunday: Great Apes!
