One dead, one arrested after shooting in Hot Springs, police say

According to the Hot Springs Police Department, officers responded to a shooting on Malvern Avenue Wednesday, June 19 at 1:37 p.m.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — According to the Hot Springs Police Department, officers responded to a shooting on Malvern Avenue Wednesday, June 19 at 1:37 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers located a male who was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The situation is being investigated as a domestic disturbance.

Elizabeth Hageness, 57, has been charged with Murder in the First Degree. She is being held in the Garland County Detention Center on zero bond.

The identification of the victim has not yet been released.
