LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – The Little Rock Police Department is investigating a quadruple shooting that occurred overnight.

Around 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were dispatched to a shooting at 25 Par Drive. Upon arrival, they found 18-year-old Alexander Reed of Little Rock lying deceased inside the apartment from an apparent gunshot wound.

Officers then located three of the tenants of the apartment also suffering from gunshot wounds. All three were transported to hospitals for treatment and are listed as stable.

While detectives were investigating the scene, the Pine Bluff Police Department notified the detectives that they had a subject, 21-year-old Alvin Chaffin of Pine Bluff come into the Jefferson County Regional Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to his hand.

Homicide detectives then responded to the hospital to interview the victims. The victims advised that they were at their apartment when Reed came over with an unknown man. They advised that after several minutes the man opened the apartment door and let two other unknown men into the apartment. The victims stated that one of the men pulled a handgun out and told them that “this is a robbery” and then started shooting.

One of the victims stated that he then pulled his own handgun and returned fire. During the exchange of gunfire Reed and two of the victims were shot.

During the course of the investigation, Chaffin was positively identified as being one of the three men that entered the apartment. Chaffin was admitted to the hospital and placed in custody with charges pending.
