LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A girl we told you about a few months back, who wrote a book about fighting bullies, showed off her handwriting skills Saturday for a book signing.

8-year-old Akire Williamson got to sign copies of her book at a community center in Jacksonville today. She told the story of a young girl that is being bullied, but learns not to become one herself. It includes a coloring book and a journal.

Akire showed a wisdom beyond her years when we first met her back in March. You can tell she's going to be pretty good at accepting awards in the future.

“I would also like to thank my mother and my daddy because if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be here,” Akire said.

Mom and dad help keep Akire grounded.

They shared one of her earlier works before she even knew how to spell her name.
