LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Good causes have a way of bringing different people together.
For instance, a motorcycle club and fashion designers. But Sunday, members of the A-State biker's club teamed up with the Designing Hope Foundation to raise money for the burn unit at Arkansas Children's Hospital. They gathered at the Metroplex for a fashion show, alongside car and bike contests.
For organizer Linda Rowe-Thomas, helping the hospital is personal.
“I went through Shriner’s Hospital for 18 years. And so I know if my parents ever had to pay out of pocket for that, they wouldn't have been able to do it,” said Rowe-Thomas.
The main recipient of the money raised Sunday is Camp Sunshine. It's a four-day retreat that offers summer fun for pediatric burn survivors at Camp Aldersgate.
