Aid STEM education overseas by donating your eclipse glasses

Girl Scouts – Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas are collecting your old eclipse glasses to help with STEM education overseas in South America and Asia.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – The August 21 solar eclipse has come and gone, so what do you do with your glasses? Donate them!

Girl Scouts – Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas are collecting your old eclipse glasses to send to Astronomers Without Borders.

AWB will then distribute the eclipse glasses across South America and Asia to aid STEM education in schools for the 2019 solar eclipse in that region.

Everyone is welcome to donate, and glasses can be dropped off during open business hours at your nearest Girl Scouts – Diamonds office or shop. Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (closed 1 to 2 p.m.) Then Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
