CLEBURNE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) – Around noon on Sunday, Cleburne County deputies responded to Firehouse Road in Hopewell for a complaint of someone actively damaging property.

When deputies arrived, they encountered a man who matched the suspect’s description. The suspect, later identified as 54-year-old Bobby Brown of Hopewell, attempted to flee the area and then engaged in a fight with deputies.

Brown was eventually taken into custody and transported to the Cleburne County Jail. Two deputies were transported by ambulance to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

One sheriff’s office car was also damaged in the altercation.

Brown is currently being held with no bond on charges including terroristic threatening, second degree assault, resisting arrest, fleeing and second degree battery.
