LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- The week-long effort to spread the word about stopping the violence in Little Rock featured some air conditioned fun Saturday.
Greater Nation International Church opened the doors for some food, fun and games. Arkansas Stop the Violence has helped organize efforts all this week, including walking the streets in tough neighborhoods starting conversations. The folks at Crain Automotive joined in the effort Saturday.
“Trying to continue to spur on community gathering in an effort to give these kids an option other than being out on the street doing nothing,” said Chuck Word with Crain Automotive.
Word said the dealership got involved after seeing the head pastor of the church out on the streets this week. After Saturday's fun, they hope to continue holding similar events in the coming weeks.
