CABOT, Ark. (KTHV) -- Cabot Dance Academy is out thousands of dollars after their travel trailer was stolen from the front of their building.

“They've cut the chain and the ball lock and took off with the trailer,” said Jennifer Smart, assistant at Cabot Dance Academy.

Their costumes, props and trophies are all gone.

“This trailer had just come back from our nationals’ competition from over the summer and was still packed with all of the props that we had used.”

Caleigh and Allison compete with the academy, they were the first to notice the trailer was missing.

“Usually we just pull up and park and it's sitting out there,” said Caleigh. She, like many of the dancers, wants proof of their hard work returned.

“We didn't quite understand why someone would take it, and it had our national trophies and our props. We didn't understand why someone would want to take that away from us.”

Their trophies are memories they want to add to their collection, but now they can't.

“We just won those at nationals in July, and so we were about to get them out and hang them around. It's upsetting that we went out there, and we won those. Now we don't get to display those.”

The Academy says the trailer has been spotted several places in central Arkansas. Since the missing report, they have had four reports of it headed towards Little Rock, and one report toward Conway.

They’re still moving forward and plan on dancing this Saturday at Cabot Fest.
