PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) - A Chinese distribution company will sonn be moving into the Jefferson Industrial Park in Pine Bluff.

The Pine Bluff Commercial is reporting that the company, Newland LLC, came to Pine Bluff in May to look at potential buildings and by October they had purchased a building at 3411 North Hutchinson Street. Newland, owned by Jason Cao, is a division of Xindadi Hardware Company, Ltd.. Cao recently incorporated the company in the United States.

Xindadi manufactures a wide array of construction products, which supplies retailers like Home Depot. The location in Pine Bluff will act as an American-based distribution center for warehousing and in the future may even become an assembly operation.

Newland expects to hire eight to 10 employees at first. The company said it will expand operations as the customer base grows.

Cao's son Harris Cao will oversee the Pine Bluff location, which will operate officially as XDD Products, LLC.
