NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – A new walking ghost tour through the Argenta Arts District is creating a lot of buzz in Little Rock.
The Argenta Arts District is full of rich history, old buildings and even a couple of supernatural stories. Paul Prater got the idea for a walking tour in Argenta when he spoke to business owners in the area about all of the buildings past. The tours are so popular that they are selling out.
"I spend a lot of time in Argenta and I started talking to the owners and they started coming up with stories. I thought well there has to be even more,” Prater said.
So, he decided to start Haunted Argenta.
"The entire tour is from Main Street starting here at the pavilion and we go down to the corner of sixth,” he said.
During the tour, he talks to his guests about Argenta's past, including some of its darkest moments. He said the tour is more of a history tour.
"We stop at several buildings and tell the stories of the hauntings and spirits, and the history that ties in,” Prater said. "We talk about the natives who were here and the trail of tears which crossed at this location."
But, of course he does include a few ghost tails in there, too.
"I do share photos of some orbs and spirits and some odd things,” Prater said.
But don't worry, the tour isn't too scary.
"It's nothing that kids couldn't handle. It's not like a Scooby Doo episode where somebody jumps out and says boo,” he said.
And with Halloween just around the corner, now’s a perfect time to take a supernatural stroll through Argenta.
"At the very end of the tour there's another haunted artifact where people have the opportunity to take pictures of it and sometimes orbs have been captured around that,” Prater said.
Haunted Argenta tours are available through the beginning of November, but Prater said he may extend the dates. Tickets are available here. Groups are limited to 20 people.
