LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Governor Asa Hutchinson has requested the Arkansas Development Finance Authority secure money for residents forced from their homes by the recent floods.

In a letter the governor sent to ADFA President Aaron Burkes on Tuesday, he asked Burkes to secure up to $5 million through the U.S. Housing and Urban Development-administered HOME Investment Partnerships Program.

“A subset of this program provides Tenant-Based Rental Assistance to individuals who meet certain income guidelines,” the governor wrote. “I am requesting that the board of the Arkansas Development Finance Authority approve a resolution to authorize the disbursement of up to $5 million …”
