LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Music lovers get excited! Jazz in the Park returns this week.
Every Wednesday in the month of April, you can enjoy jazz music from local musicians in the River Market. You can enjoy the sounds of the Funkanites to kick it off.
Jazz in the Park’s debut will also mark the third year partnering with APME, which offers scholarships to talented Arkansas music students who wish to further their education while promoting community service and volunteering.
Free and open to the public, this family-friendly event will feature a different band each Wednesday in April from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the History Pavilion in Riverfront Park. The closest entry point is on Ottenheimer Drive off of President Clinton Avenue.
In case of rain, the West Pavilion will be the alternate location.
The bands that will be playing include:
April 5- The Funkanites (New to Jazz in the Park)
April 12- Ramona (New to Jazz in the Park)
April 19 – Tonya Leeks & Co.
April 26 – Sounds So Good
