LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Thanksgiving is still a month away, but the planning that organizations must do to feed our neighbors in need has already begun.
For three decades, Watershed in Little Rock has fed tens of thousands during the holidays, and just like every year, they need our help.
In order for Watershed to put food on the plates of the more than 5,000 they'll serve this year, THV11 is holding a Helping Home food drive Friday, Oct. 27 at the Kroger on Colonel Glen Drive in Little Rock from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. We're accepting monetary donations for turkeys, non-perishable side items, and serving ware.
We'd love for you to stop by and help spread holiday cheer... even if it is only October!
Here's the list of items that will be accepted:
- Monetary donations for turkeys
- Instant potatoes
- Canned corn
- Canned green beans
- Aluminum foil
- Cranberry sauce
- Pepper, salt, and sage
