LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- For the most part, wedding gowns are not tax free this weekend, but the annual bridal show drew a crowd to the Statehouse Convention Center.
The annual expo is put on by the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. It puts 200 vendors in one place and offers up brides and their families tons of ideas and designs.
They have a fashion show and contests throughout the day. It's become the must-do bridal show if a trip down the aisle is on the horizon.
“This event is super popular because brides from all over Arkansas come to do some shopping and see what they like and plan their weddings up to a year in advance,” said Alex DeJohn, owner of Bella Bridesmaids.
To combat any hunger pangs that may come with all the bakers and caterers at the show, they hold a mini-cupcake eating contest along with other contests like BYOB, that's Build Your Own Bouquet.
