LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Rest and relaxation, something many of us look forward to, but for 200 air force service members, this is something they don’t get to enjoy that often.

After tours and months of service in Afghanistan, today they got to enjoy water slides, bounce houses, and mud pit racing. All of that was thanks to a group called Heroes R&R.

Susan Conder and her husband, Tommy, created the non-profit in recognition of their sons. She said it is important for them to show their appreciation for the sacrifice our service men and women make every day.

Today they celebrated the 61st Airlift Squadron out of Little Rock Air Force Base.
