BRYANT, Ark. (KTHV) -- Local school elections arrive on Tuesday, including in Bryant and Helena West Helena.

Bryant wants to add 3.6 mills to the current tax rate. If passed, the money will fund the construction of two new elementary schools and a junior high.

A fine arts building and new high school cafeteria are also in the plans, as well as a 3 year salary plan to recruit and retain teachers.

Voters have narrowly rejected tax hikes in special elections in 2014 and 2015. The most recent lost by just 8 votes.
