LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - While there was no Sweet Sixteen for the Little Rock Trojans, our hometown heroes got a sweet welcome home on Sunday back on campus.

According to THV11's Hayden Balgavy, it was everything a warm reception should be. The cold temperatures and the chilly wind didn't stop the Little Rock fans from cheering on their team.

Tons of the Trojan's faithful supporters were at the Jack Stephens Center at UALR to welcome the team home.

The Trojans had just gotten back from Denver where they played the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament.

In the second, the team fell to Iowa State.

Fans like Sherry McDonnell have been waiting for a season like this their entire life.

"I mean you think a first-year coach, the first time they've played together. Just incredible ride for them, and it's just nice to get that national exposure for Little Rock and for the team," said Sherry McDonnell.

Balgavy also got a chance to catch up with Chris Beard and get his thoughts on his future in Little Rock.
