LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- LRPD K-9 Officer Arco was put down Friday after a battle with cancer.
Arco was a 10-year-old Belgian Malinois that had been with the Little Rock Police Department since 2013. He was retired from the department last Saturday.
Acro was the partner or Officer Pat Hall with the Little Rock SWAT team. They had been together since Arco's arrival at the department in 2013.
The Little Rock Police Department had a special ceremony to honor Arco at the veterinarian's office Friday before he was put down.
The Little Rock Police Department said in a tweet "K9 Arco will be missed by lots of people".

Arco worked in Afghanistan before working at the Little Rock Police Department.
