NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The North Little Rock School District has announced that its Center of Excellence has been approved by the Arkansas Department of Education's charter authorizing panel.

The Center of Excellence will operate as a school within a school. It will offer students the chance to graduate high school with a "value-added diploma". The school will offer a variety of classes that will include health care, logistics, and transportation curriculum.

The North Little Rock Center of Excellence will open for the 2017-2018 school year. The goal is to help students who have intentions to further their career whether it be with college or dive straight into the job force.

They will begin offering the enrollment process in January of 2017. For additional information you can contact Dr. Beth Stewart, Deputy Superintendent at or (501) 771-8010.
