A group of lucky kids went home with a fresh new pair of shoes Monday night, thanks to North Little Rock Police Officer Tommy Norman and Bruno Mars.
Norman took six kids to the Foot Locker at Park Plaza Mall to get each of them a pair of shoes and socks.
When Bruno Mars was in town for his concert last October, he gave Norman $10,000 in Foot Locker gift cards. Since then, Norman has been steadily taking small groups to the mall for some free sneakers.
"It's really a great feeling knowing that you have that opportunity to build a lot of trust and respect and make friends through buying a pair of tennis shoes," Norman said.
Norman said the generosity of he and Bruno Mars is something the kids will remember for the rest of their lives. It'll also allow them to have a bit of bragging rights among their friends.
